Obituary of Catherine H. Cobb

Catherine H. Cobb, 77, of 1469 Shadyside Road, Lakewood, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2015 in WCA Hospital. She was the widow of Wayne M. Cobb whom she married June 23, 1956 and who died June 25, 2014. Catherine was born November 4, 1938 in Lakewood, NY, the daughter of the late Theodore and Helen Smith Roat. Throughout the years, she had been a small business owner in Lakewood and later worked as a part time sales clerk at Bob's Liquor Store in Lakewood. She was an amazing homemaker and shared blessings from her kitchen and her heart with many over the years. Catherine was active in the Women of the Moose, belonging to the Celoron Moose and formerly the Falconer Moose, and had reached her College of Regents. She belonged to the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club, the Red Hatters and had volunteered many hours, particularly with the Moose. Surviving are a daughter, Cindy (Howard) Coit of Modesto, CA and son, Daniel Cobb of Sioux Falls, SD; three grandchildren: Courtney (Domenic) Fontana of Newman, CA, Cooper Coit of Modesto and Tabitha (Tim) Pattison of Jamestown; two great-granddaughters, Brianna Pattison and Angie Fontana; and a brother, George (Pam) Roat of Lakewood. A private family service will be held in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald E. Ray will officiate. Inurnment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Visitation will not be observed.
