Obituary of Charlotte Ann Peterson

Charlotte A. Peterson, 67, of Lakewood, NY passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 18th, 2016. She was born in Jamestown, NY on February 17th, 1949 to parents Charles O. Peterson and the late Myrtle Tripp Yocum. She grew up in the Jamestown, NY area, graduating from Southwestern Central School. She continued on to Capital City School of Nursing earning a Diploma Degree in Nursing in 1970, George Mason University earning a BSN in Nursing in 1988 and a MSN in Advanced Clinical Nursing in 1993. She worked as an R.N. in Long Beach, CA until she retired in 2009 and moved back to her hometown. Her many hobbies included going on many adventures with her best friend Frank, gardening, traveling, reading and volunteering at local organizations. She was a part of the Master Gardeners of Cornell Cooperation Extension. She was best known for her kind, generous and loving heart. She leaves behind her beloved best friend Frank Vella, father Charles Peterson, step-mother Joan Peterson, sister Shirley (James) Hibbitts, brother Melvin (Diana) Peterson, sister Linda Pierce (Scott Gustafson), brother Toby (Kristen) Pierce, nieces Tiffany (Justin) Joyner, Hannah Pierce, Maggie Pierce, nephew Mick Peterson and many dear friends and other family members. She is preceded in death by her son Eric Hricko, mother Myrtle Yocum and step-brother Mike Pierce. In keeping with Charlotte's wishes no funeral service or visitation will be observed.
