Obituary of Evelyn B. Rashbrook

Evelyn B. Rashbrook, 91, of 4935 Stoneledge Road, Ashville, died Sunday May 8, 2016 in Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born March 2, 1925, in Ridgeway, PA, a daughter of the late Harvey and Kathrine Hoff Zimmerman. She graduated from Meadville High School and had been employed by Jamestown Telephone Company, Robert O'Neal Therapy and Super Duper. Evelyn took part in the Women's Health Initiative through the University of Buffalo. Having been raised in an orphanage from age 3 to 18, Evelyn will be remembered as a small but strong woman. She became a great homemaker with a wacky sense of humor which she passed down to her children and grandchildren. Surviving are three children Rev. Jeff (Bev) Crawford of Fairport, NY; Connie Bielata, with whom she made her home and Douglas (Brenda) Rashbrook of Ellery Center; nine grandchildren Jack and Jeffrey Bielata, Jayme Harding, Jed and Joy Crawford, Jeanna Rouland and Joel, James and Jason Rashbrook; eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Rashbrook whom she married in 1962 and who died in 2009; a daughter Paula Rashbrook; son-in-law Jack Bielata; three sisters and five brothers. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. Burial will be in Bemus Point Cemetery.
