Obituary of Betty J. Lord

Betty J. Seeley Lord, 85, formerly of 5673 Route 474, Ashville, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018 in the Lutheran Home & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on January 25, 1933 in North Clymer, NY, the daughter of the late Charles and Marjorie Morey Seeley. She was a graduate of Panama Central School and had attended Fluvanna Community Church. In earlier years she was a member of the Chautauqua Squares and enjoyed square dancing and raising gladiolas which she sold locally. In earlier years she was employed by Jamesway as a manager. Betty is survived by three sons: Randy (Katy) Lord and Scott (Sheila) Lord, both of Ashville, Greg (Marlane) Lord of Pittsburgh, PA; a daughter Lisa (Gordon) Scott of Jamestown; eight grandchildren: Sabrina Lord, Benjamin (Jessica) Lord, Christy ( Brad) Dorman, Catherine Lord, Craig (Ann) Lord, Nathan (Erin) Lord, Ashley (Steven) Frost, Tyler Scott; and several great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Roger and Wallace Seeley. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Daniel S. Rumfelt, Chaplain of the Lutheran Home, will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Ashville, NY Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home.
