He was born in Palm Springs, CA on September 29, 1943, a son of the late Donald R. and Margaret Tibbetts Joslyn I.

In earlier years, Skip worked as an auto mechanic for several dealerships in Virginia. Moving back to Jamestown in 1967, he then owned and operated L & J Auto until his retirement.

Skip was an avid NASCAR, Buffalo Bills and New York Yankees fan and always enjoyed attending any of his grandchildren's sporting events. He especially looked forward to helping his son, Skip, work on his race car and being at his many races at Stateline Speedway.

Surviving is his wife, Cindy Glotz Joslyn, whom he married September 27, 1986; two sons: Donald R. Joslyn III of Jamestown and Scott (Jennifer) Joslyn of Ashville, NY; step-sons, Jody Crissman and Jimmy Crissman; a brother, Richard (Linda) Joslyn of Jamestown; five grandchildren: Jordan Joslyn, April Crissman, Christine (Michael) Johnson, Jody Crissman and Kelly (Justin Smith) Crissman; step-grandchildren, Michelle and Christopher Duckett; as well as several great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Joslyn; and parents-in-law, Carl and Mildred Glotz.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Tree of Life Parish - Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Tara Lamont Eastman will officiate. Friends will be received from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. for one hour prior to the service in the church Friday.

Skip's family wishes to thank the staff of Heritage Green, especially Cynthia Carlson, PA, Dr. Matthew Chang, and WillCare for everyone's wonderful care.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial be made to Tree of Life Evangelical Lutheran Church, 556 E. Second St., Jamestown, NY 14701; or to a charity of choice.
