Obituary of Alexander R. Ambrose

Alexander R. Ambrose, 30, of 3154 W. 41st St., Erie, Pa., passed away unexpectedly Saturday, December 8, 2018 in Erie. He was the husband of Amber Orr Ambrose, whom he married May 16, 2011. Alex was born April 16, 1988 in Jamestown, the son of Peggy Josephson Ambrose and Francis Ambrose. He was a 2006 graduate of Jamestown High School, received his Associate's Degree from Jamestown Community College and attended Alfred State College. A web developer, Alex was employed by fh Group in Erie, Pa. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was passionate about the future of technology. He also enjoyed a good book, a good whiskey, and a good cigar. Along with his wife, Amber, he is survived by his daughter, Kira Ambrose; his mother of Jamestown and father of Mayville; a sister, Sarah (Kevin Parsons) Ambrose of Paso Robles, CA; mother and father-in-law, Michelle and Wayne Parker of Napoli, NY; sister-in-law, Cody (Nathaniel Bentley) Parker of Cambridge Springs, PA; and two brothers-in-law, Brandon Orr and Austin Orr, both of Tulsa, OK; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents. A Celebration of Alex's Life will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, December 16th in the SJM Fellowship Hall of Jamestown's First Presbyterian Church.
