Obituary of Louella P. McIntyre

Louella P. McIntyre, 84, of Sugar Grove, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the Rouse Home in Youngsville, Pa. She was the widow of her husband of 64 years, Glenn H. McIntyre, whom she married on October 30, 1954 and whom died November 23, 2018. A lifelong area resident, she was born on March 26, 1934 in her family home in Mayville, NY, was a daughter of the late Garland and Ethel Eaton Parment, and was a graduate of the former Mayville High School. Louella retired in 1998 after 27 years with the U.S. Postal Service in Sugar Grove, and in earlier years enjoyed working in the pet department of Grant's Department Store. Louella very much enjoyed travel with her husband; she and Glenn traveled the U.S. on several bus trips. She liked going to casinos and attending the Warren County Fair each year. Her family also recalls many happy games of pool with their mother and grandmother. Surviving are her daughter, Rhonda (Dennis Haner) Schnars and son, Kevin (Monica) McIntyre, both of Sugar Grove; five grandchildren: Corey Schnars and Ryan Schnars, both of Sugar Grove, Kolby (Jackie) McIntyre of Waupun, WI, Emily (Joshua) Lee of Hornell, NY and Sara (Brandon Fain) McIntyre of Sugar Grove; a sister, Dorothy (Jim) Wright of Mayville, sister-in-law, Laura Jean Parment of Mayville and sister-in-law, Claudia Parment of Florida; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death a sister, Mavis (Howard); and three brothers: James (Betty) Parment, Tom Parment and Robert Parment. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. Pastor Brian Haight will officiate. Burial will follow in the Busti Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Lind Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Sugar Grove Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 259, 5 Wilson St., or the Sugar Grove Free Library, P.O. Box 313, 22 Harmon St., both in Sugar Grove, Pa. 16350.
