Obituary of Donna C. Minor

Donna C. Minor, 83, of Erie, PA, formerly of the High Rise, 303 West Fifth St. Jamestown, NY, passed away at 8:19 am Wednesday, March 13, 2019, in the Elmwood Gardens of Erie, Erie, PA. A lifelong area resident, she was born June 21, 1935 in Jamestown, NY, a daughter of the late Kenneth L. and Mary F. Punk Van Natter. She was a 1953 graduate of Jamestown High School and was baptized from the First Congregational Church. Before her retirement she was a Customer Service Representative for the Greenlee Insurance Agency in Jamestown. In earlier years she had worked for the Jamestown Mutual Insurance Company, Unigard Insurance Company and several other insurance agencies in the Jamestown area. Donna enjoyed taking part in the activities at the High Rise with the other residents and also loved volunteering for the Retired Senior Volunteer Program and the Jamestown Meals-on-Wheels Program. She was also an avid reader and loved spending time with her family. Surviving are a son; Randal A. (Debbie) Case of Pageland, SC, two grandchildren; Lisa (Jeff) Sobocinski, Jennifer (Paul Cain) Felt, four great grandchildren; Emma and Connor Sobocinski, Asia LaMancuso, Max Badgley, her sister and her caregiver; Kay Popovich of Erie, PA, a nephew; David Popovich of Erie, PA , a great niece, Nicole (Joe) Miller of Jamestown, NY and a great nephew, Michael Popovich of Erie, PA. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jody K. Case and a nephew, Mark Popovich. The funeral will be held at noon Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Adam Rohler, pastor of the First Covenant Church will officiate. A private burial will take palce be in the Lake View Cemetery. Friends will be received from 10:00 am to the time of the service at noon on Saturday in the funeral home. Donna's family would like to thank AseraCare Hospice of Erie for the loving care and compassion and guidance they gave to Donna and her family over the past several months.
