Obituary of Helen D. Ericson

Helen D. Ericson, 71, formerly of 57 Colfax St., Jamestown, passed away Monday, April 1, 2019 at the Kinzua Healthcare & Rehab Center in Warren. She was born September 27, 1947 in Kane, Pa., a daughter of the late John "Archie" and Mabel Moore Harris, and was a 1965 graduate of Sheffield High School. She also attended Jamestown Business College. Helen had been employed as a sales associate by Walmart in Lakewood. She attended Busti Church of God for many years, and in earlier years belonged to St. James Catholic Church. Family always came first to Helen. She looked forward to being outdoors, long walks and dancing, and also enjoyed needlework, crafts, all types of music along with theater and musicals, and was a big 'I Love Lucy' fan. Surviving are two daughters, Teresa (Raymond) Siperek of Royston, GA and Erica Ericson of Jamestown and a son, Rusty (Dana) Scuteri of Greer, SC; four grandchildren, Justin, Evan and Darren Siperek, and Geneva Ericson; as well as two brothers, Jim (Marsha) Harris of Warren, Pa. and Phil (Lisa) Harris of Sunnyvale, CA, and a sister, Stevie Lata of Apopka, FL. The funeral will be held at 6 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy, pastor of St. James Church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Warren. Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday in the funeral home, for two hours prior to the service.
