Obituary of Charlie Anderson

Charlie Anderson, 77, of 119 Prather Avenue, died Wednesday April 17, 2019, in his home surrounded by his loving family. A Jamestown native, he was born May 10, 1941, to the late Carl O. and Eleanor Wilcox Anderson. They named him Carl A. Anderson, but everyone that knew him thought that Charlie was his given name. He was a 1959 graduate of Jamestown High School. Working in metal fabrication his entire career, he was founder and owner of C. A. Anderson, Inc. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Shriners, War Vets Recreation, Lakewood Rod and Gun Club and Vikings. Charlie was a loving husband, wonderful father and exceptional grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his many friends. Surviving are his wife of nearly 50 years Judith Anderson, whom he married December 13, 1969; four children Stefanie Anderson of Jamestown, Michelle (Kevin) McGuire of Las Vegas, Vicky (Brennon) Hope of LaJolla, CA and Steven Anderson of Jamestown; five grandchildren Richard Huffman, Maiker Anderson and Ashley Anderson all of Jamestown, Pamela Howell of Clarksville, TN and Toni Sealy of Falconer and five great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Gunnard "Gunny" Anderson, an infant daughter Pamela Anderson and a sister in law Beverly Wlodarczyk. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
