Obituary of Robert P. Ellington

Robert P. Ellington, 69, of Lakewood, passed away Saturday September 7, 2019 in the Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility with his family at his side. He was born May 28, 1950 in Jamestown the son of Jack and Edna June Ahlgren Ellington. Robert was a 1973 graduate of Jamestown High School. For over 16 years, he was a prep cook at the Italian Fisherman in Bemus Point. He was a member of the American Parkinson's Association. He is survived by his mother of Lakewood, and his brother, Ronald Ellington of Kennedy. Robert was preceded in death by his father who died January 22, 1988. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday September 19th in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Gerald A. Haglund, Heritage Group Chaplain, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday September 18th in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Parkinson's Association or to a charity that benefits children.
