Obituary of SueEllen M. Hirsch

SueEllen M. Hirsch, 69, of Ashville, NY, passed away Tuesday October 29, 2019 in UPMC Chautauqua Hospital. She was born July 14, 1950 in Jamestown the daughter of Dolores M. Carlson Johnson and the late Vern R. Johnson. SueEllen was a graduate of Southwestern Central High School and prior to retirement was employed at The Resource Center. She was active and a past leader in the 4-H sheep program; enjoyed skeet shooting, and loved watching the Bald Eagles at "Sawtooth." SueEllen was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their activities. Surviving besides her mother of Lakewood, are her husband of 49 years, Frank Hirsch Jr.; a son, Kristoff V. Hirsch (Megan) of Ashville; a daughter, Lauren Ryan (Lawrence) of Bemus Point; three grandchildren, Brandon, Margaret, and Kristopher; a brother, Allan Johnson (Holly); and two sisters, Sally Crawford (Steve), and Shirley Johnson (Craig). Besides her father, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Kristoff Jr. SueEllen was a very giving person, always putting others first. Because of that, she has donated her body to science, hoping that someone may learn and benefit from her health history. Her last request was for everyone to smile, be happy, and love one another. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ashville Fire Department, or to a charity of one's choice.
