Obituary of Willis K. Mohney

Willis K. "Bill" Mohney, Jr, 76, of 11 Mason St. Jamestown, NY, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2019, in UPMC Hamot Medical Center, Erie, PA. An area resident for most of his life, he was born August 11, 1943 in Buffalo, NY, a son of the late Willis K. Mohney, Sr. and the late Betty Bigelow Houghwot. He was a self employed auto body technician for many years and had a keen interest in cars and motorcycles. Bill was a life member of the Brothers by Choice Social Club where he enjoyed hanging out with his many friends. Surviving are his wife, Judy Geraci Mohney, whom he married July 3, 1992, seven children; Deborah Mohney-Herrera of Bisbee, AZ, Joseph Mohney of Jamestown, Melissa Mohney of Warren, PA, Richard Mohney of Bisbee, AZ, Mary Kathryn Mohney of Jamestown, Melissa Geraci of Jamestown, David Geraci of TX, eight grandchildren; Kristen Herrera, Samantha Linder, Kristin Tessmer, Matthew Mohney, Julian Hasson, Isaac Ahlquist, Madison Mohney, Connor Smith, one great grandchild; Landon Tessmer and his sister, Grace Ann Merrick of Craig, CO. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Willis K. "Billy" Mohney, III, Jason K. Mohney, a sister, Mary Katherine Mohney and his step-father, Merle Houghwot. The funeral will be held at 2:00 pm Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 12:00 – 2:00 pm Friday, two hours prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Alzheimer's Association of Western New York.
