Obituary of Randall S. Taylor

Randall S. Taylor, 66, of Fluvanna Townline Road, died Thursday April 9, 2020, in his home. An area resident all of his life, he was born April 18, 1953, in Jamestown, a son of H. Mary Anderson Taylor and the late Raymond Taylor. As a child he was baptized at First Lutheran Church in Jamestown. He was a 1971 graduate of Southwestern Central School. In the early 1980's Randy, with the help of his father, founded Jamestown Rubber Mat Co.. He later went on to own and operate an electrical contracting business, Taylor Electric. He was a proud member of IBEW Local 106 for several decades. During his career he was employed by several area contractors. He was a member of Lakewood Rod and Gun Club. He was a kind and gentle soul with a great sense of humor. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He loved and had a very special connection with his nephews and nieces. Randy was also a real animal lover especially his beloved Libby and Lobo who were with him for many years. Surviving besides his mother are his fiancee, Lynda Lanterman; a brother Raymond (Maria) Taylor of Lakewood; aunt Valien (Tim) Carlson of Naples, FL; cousins Richard (Marcia) Taylor and Barry (Marlene) Taylor and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, or the Fluvanna Volunteer Fire Department, 3536 Fluvanna Ave, both of Jamestown, NY 14701.
