Obituary of Marilyn H. Isaacson

Marilyn H. Isaacson, 93, formerly of 37 Peach St. in Jamestown, passed away Monday, September 21, 2020 at Bradford Manor in Bradford, Pa. She was born in Jamestown on January 8, 1927, the daughter of the late Gustaf and Edith Pearson Holm, and was a 1945 graduate of Jamestown High School. In earlier years, she was employed by the Jamestown School System and retired as administrative assistant from MRC/SKF in Jamestown. Marilyn was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Vikings Lodge #65, Thule Lodge, American Scandinavian Heritage Foundation and Jamestown High School's 100 Member Club. Surviving are her nieces and nephews: Janet (the late Greg) Neid of Jamestown, Richard (Denise) Holm of Chesapeake, VA, Donald (Lori) Holm of Falconer, NY, Sally (Dan) Dale of Jamestown, Kurt Holm of Brocton, NY and Katherine (Tom) Schmidt of Jamestown. In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Bertil Holm; and a nephew, James Holm. Observing COVID social distancing guidelines, friends will be received on a walk-through basis from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. A private family service will be held, led by the Rev, Daniel S. Rumfelt. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Rd., or Tree of Life Lutheran Church, 825 Forest Ave., both Jamestown, NY 14701.
