Obituary of Melburn W. Dennis

Melburn W. "Meb" Dennis, 82, of 2598 Alexander Road, Ashville, died Monday, January 18, 2021 in UPMC Chautauqua. He was born December 27, 1938 in Guys Mills, PA, a son of the late Troy and Effie Backes Dennis. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving from 1957 to 1962. Prior to his retirement he owned and operated Telecom Mounting Systems. From 1978-90 he and his wife owned Lock, Stock and Barrell in Ellington. Following retirement, he worked for Hartley Buick as new car manager. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. Surviving are his wife Cynthia Benson Dennis, two children; Laurie (Brian) Moore of Jamestown and Steven Dennis of Amarillo, TX, three grandsons; Mitchell and Grant Moore and Harrison Dennis, and two sisters; Loretta Pierce and Barbara Barrett both of Arcadia, FL. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Charles Dennis. No funeral service or visitation will be observed at this time.
