Obituary of Virginia P. Cusimano

Virginia P. Cusimano, 92, formerly of Memory Garden and 144 Allen Street, died Tuesday January 19, 2021, in Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing. A lifelong Jamestown resident, she was born October 1, 1928, a daughter of the late John and Sarah Cusimano. She was a 1946 graduate of Jamestown high School. Prior to her retirement in 1990, she was employed by District 65 IAMAW as office secretary. She earlier had worked at Art Metal where she was president of the union. Following retirement she volunteered at the Chautauqua County Humane Society as an office worker. She was an avid bowler, golfer, skier and reader. The family wishes to thank the staff of Memory Garden for the care Virginia received. Surviving are her Goddaughters and caregivers Kathy Cordosi and Deanna Cordosi and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Josephine Healy; a brother Anthony Cusimano and her beloved dogs Mitzi, Brigit, Brownie and Chloe who were like children to her.
