Obituary of Yvonne L. Johnson

Yvonne L. Johnson, 73, of 413 Superior Street, died Saturday January 23, 2021, in her home surrounded by her family. She was born April 16, 1947, in Meadville, PA, a daughter of the late Otis and Vera Lawrence Hunter. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Lutheran Social Services as a counselor. She was a member of North Main Street Church of God. She was the nucleus of our family. Her infectious laugh, her giving nature and her tireless commitment to togetherness was felt by all. Whether waking up early to make breakfast for the family, with soulful music playing in the background or taking the time to share her wisdom and loving hands with her children or grandchildren, there are an abundance of beautiful memories that we will cherish. There won't be a family game night, celebration, cookout or even just a regular day sitting on the patio that will ever be the same. Part of her legacy will be her perseverance, wisdom and impact which will echo through the generations that follow her. Surviving is her husband Theodore Johnson III, whom she married August 4, 1969; four children Sean Johnson, Torrey Johnson and Blake Johnson all of Jamestown and Jaime Johnson of Camarillo, CA; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren and siblings James Hunter of Virginia and Evelyn Hunter of Cleveland, OH. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday February 17, 2021, in Lake View Cemetery. Please wear a mask and practice the social distancing 6 ft rule. Visitation will not be observed.
