Obituary of Stephen Wayne Ecker

Stephen Wayne Ecker, 70, of Panama, NY, passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, in UPMC Hamot Medical Center, Erie, PA. An area resident for most of his life, he was born September 20, 1950 in Capitol Heights, MD, a son of Beulah Gerald Ecker and the late Norman L. Ecker, Sr. Wayne was a graduate of Sherman Central School and had previously been employed by Cummins Engine Company, Matco Tool Company and was a driver for the Amish community for many years. Surviving is his mother Beulah Ecker of Wagram, NC, a daughter; Jennifer Davis of Clymer, NY, a son, Dustin Ecker of Panama, three grandchildren; Abbagail Ecker, Jason Davis, Natalie Davis, a brother; Norman (Linda) Ecker of Stedman, NY, two sisters, Sue (Rich) Sandstrom of Wagram, NC, Denise Ecker Eyler of Sugar Grove, PA and three step-siblings; Jeff (Patty) Flanders, Shelly (Fred) Sundheimer and Laura (Jimmy) Smith. Besides his father he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Ecker, Allen "Bud" Ecker, a Sister, Constance Hedlund and a step-brother, Keith Flanders. A celebration of life service will be held at later date. Visitation will not be observed.
