Obituary of Janis A. Digirolamo

Janis A. Digirolamo, 66, of 271 Prospect Street, died Monday May 17, 2021, in UPMC Hamot. She was born January 22, 1955, in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Wayne and Wilda Reynolds Chapman. She was a 1973 graduate of Falconer Central School and later received an associate degree from Jamestown Community College. She had been employed by Lowes in Warren as appliance department manager and earlier had worked for Wegmans as a department manager. She also worked for Instacart. She was an avid crafter and enjoyed beach glassing, gardening and baking. Surviving are two sons Frank (Danielle) Palmieri of Charlotte, NC and Alexander Digirolamo of Jamestown; five grandchildren Allison, Christian, Callen, Devin and Dominic Palmieri all of Charlotte; three sisters Susan Bova of Falconer, Kathy Calabrese-Paugh of Binghamton, NY and Ann Iuculano of Jamestown and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a son Michael Palmieri May 17, 2000. Friends will be received in the Lind Funeral Home from 4 to 7 pm Friday and from 11:30 am to 1 pm Saturday.
