Obituary of Jeffrey A. Sherbine

It is with great sadness that the family of Jeffrey A. Sherbine announces his passing on December 2, 2021 at the age of 49 after a short, but courageous battle with cancer. Jeff was born in Jamestown, NY on August 9, 1972 to Thomas and Karen (Eck) Sherbine. They both predeceased him in 2013, along with a brother, Michael, in 1968. Jeff is survived by the love of his life, Colleen (Frisbee) Sherbine whom he married on October 22, 2005; as well as two stepchildren whom he loved like his own, Shana (Kenny) Burnett of Waterford, PA and Beth (Jared Walsh) Brown of Fredonia, NY; his granddaughter, Lucinda Burnett, who was the light of his life; his loving brothers, Thomas (Kim) Sherbine and Robert Sherbine; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A 1991 graduate of Jamestown High School, Jeff was employed as a Quality Technician by Cummins Engine in Lakewood. He had also been a photographer for many years at Stateline, Erie, and Conneaut Speedways. Jeff was an avid golfer for many years and was proud of his achievements winning tournaments and golf leagues with family and friends. He was a lifetime member of the Sons of AMVETS, as well as a member of both the Lakewood and Falconer Rod & Gun Clubs. Jeff was a loyal friend who never failed to tell others how much he loved and appreciated them. Even at the height of his illness, he would ask others what he could do for them. He was a brave, selfless, and loving man that would do anything for friends or family, and always appreciated a good joke! He loved his wife more than words could say. Our lives will never be the same without his love. Friends and family will be received from 1:30 to 3:30 and 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5th in the Lind Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday morning in the funeral home, led by family friend, Richard Hatfield. Please note that masks must be worn at all times inside the funeral home.
