Obituary of Clarence A. Beish

Clarence A. Beish, Jr., 67, of Jamestown, NY, passed away at 11:35 pm Wednesday December 8, 2021, at UPMC Chautauqua. A lifelong area resident, he was born December 5, 1954, in Jamestown, NY, a son of the late Clarence A. Beish and the late Eva Mae Beish. He was a graduate of Jamestown High School and earned his bachelor's degree in education from Buffalo State College. Before his retirement in 2015, he was employed by the former Quality Markets, Inc., working in several area stores for over 20 years. In earlier years he was an English teacher for a school in Louisiana for several years. He was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church where he was also baptized. He enjoyed going to household sales, garage sales and estate sales and in earlier years was a collector of Coca-Cola items. Surviving are two sisters, Belinda (Tim) O'Connor of Jamestown, Marifrances Steen of Stockton, CA, a brother, Duane "Ed" (Babette) Beish of Jamestown, several nieces and nephews who called him "Uncle JuJu", and his close friend Pat Wiggers. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a niece, Candace Noel Beish and a nephew, Tyler Jon Steen and his beloved cat "Chuck". Family and friends are invited to the funeral service for Clarence at 1 pm on Thursday, December 16, 2021, in St. Luke's Episcopal Church. The Rev. Luke Fodor, Rector will officiate. A graveside service will follow at Lake View Cemetery. Prior visitation will not be observed but all are welcome to attend both services on Thursday at the church and cemetery. Due to New York State mandates masks must be worn while inside the church.
