Obituary of Maureen A. Dibble

Maureen A. Dibble, 74, of Jamestown, NY, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021, in the Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. A Jamestown area resident for most of her life, she was born January 18, 1947, in Troy, NY, a daughter of the late Kenneth H. and Ann Dwyer Hughes. Before her retirement due to a disability, she was employed by the former Quality Markets, Inc. from 1989 – 2005. She also owned and operated the Pour-N- Paint ceramic shop in the Boniwood Plaza until 1991. She was a communicant of Holy Apostles Parish at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, doing crafts, and reading Danielle Steele books. Surviving are two daughters, Jennifer (Shawn) Mitchell of Randolph, NY, Stephanie Stafford of Jamestown, a granddaughter, Kayla Whitmore of Jamestown, two sisters, Patricia Fiorella of Jamestown, Kathleen (Bob) Hagstrom of Fort Wayne, IN, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, David G. Dibble whom she married July 24, 1965 and who died May 12, 2011, her father Kenneth H. Hughes who died May 30, 1995, and her mother Ann D. Hughes who died June 23, 2016. The funeral will be held at 2 pm Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Deacon Michael Lennon of St. James Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home on Wednesday.
