Obituary of Susan Fiorella

Susan Fiorella, 88, of Jamestown, NY, passed away at 11:35 pm Friday, March 4, 2022, in her home surrounded by her family. A lifelong area resident, she was born November 19, 1933, in Jamestown, NY, a daughter of the late Antonio and Angela Parasiliti Parasiliti. Sue was a 1952 graduate of Jamestown High School. She was a communicant of Holy Apostles Parish at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, where she was very active in church activities over the years. Before her retirement she was employed as a stenographer in the employment division of the New York State Department of Labor. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. Surviving are her two children: MaryBeth Perkins, James P. (Marie Ann Patrizi) Fiorella both of Jamestown, five grandchildren: Jamie Perkins, Gina (JoJo) Vasquez, Jason (Stacy) Vasquez, Adam (Lauren) Fiorella, David Fiorella and twelve great grandchildren; Zoey, Aaliyah, Liam, Landon, Tayven, Madysen, Tage, Kensley, Jaxson, Cambria, Cal, and Nolan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Fiorella who she married September 12, 1953, and who died May 24, 1995, four sisters: Angeline Landy, Mary Sorvelli, JoEllen Mancari, Nina Boerst and her son-in-law, Michael Perkins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Wednesday, March 9, 2022. at Holy Apostles Parish at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Paul Cygan, parochial vicar of St. James Catholic Church will be celebrant. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Tuesday, March 8, 2022, in the Lind Funeral Home where a Christian Wake Service will be led at 4:45 pm Tuesday.
