Obituary of Linda L. Pickard

Linda L. Pickard, 79, formerly of 325 Price St., passed away Sunday evening, March 20, 2022 at the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center. Linda was the widow of William J. Pickard, Sr., whom she married October 7, 1961 and who died February 14, 2018. She was born November 12, 1942 in Buffalo, NY, and was the daughter of the late Edward and Harriet Cranston Houck. Linda accomplished many things throughout her life after raising her family, but she was always known for her cooking. She loved to cook for family and friends alike and there was always plenty for everyone and anyone. In earlier years she belonged to the Frewsburg American Legion Auxiliary and later the Lakewood American Legion Auxiliary. Surviving are three children: Denise Harvey of Charlotte, NC, Michele Bennett of Jamestown, and William Pickard, Jr. (Karen) of Batavia, NY; six grandchildren: Derek Harney (Brooke) of Charlotte, Jamie Bennett of Jamestown, Nicole Deshner (Marcus) of Sumter, SC, and Andrew, Jack and Noah Pickard, all of Batavia; and five great grandchildren: Bradley Bennett of Jamestown, Dakota Adams of Sumter, SC, Savannah Deming of Brocton, NY, and Dominic and Grayson Harvey, both of Charlotte. Along with her parents and her husband, Bill, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Donna Houck. Friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 26th in the Lind Funeral Home.
