Obituary of Philip C. Bochman

Philip C. Bochman, 89, of Jamestown, NY, passed away at 10:44 pm Tuesday, April 12, 2022, in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center. An area resident for most of his life, he was born November 25, 1932, in New Kensington, PA, a son of the late Linne C. and Ethel Hopf Bochman. He was a graduate of Plum Borough High School, Pittsburgh, PA, and a graduate of Jamestown Community College. Before his retirement, he was a tool and die maker working for Reliance Mold & Die for many years. In previous years he had worked for the Ring Punch and Die Corporation. He will be remembered as a caring and giving man who enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved being outdoors and was an avid arborist who had several species of trees around his home. Surviving are his three sons: Jeffrey L. (Cici) Bochman of Westfield, NY, Timothy P. (Denise) Bochman, John E. (Brenda) Bochman both of Jamestown, NY, four grandchildren: Kerri (Tim) Bochman-Smart of Jamestown, Eric (Alisha) Bochman of Kalamazoo, MI, Nichole (Francis) Blum of Asheville, NC, Steven (Mackenzy) Bochman of Charleston, W VA, eleven great grandchildren, and his brother: David Bochman of New Kensington, PA. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Turk Bochman whom he married December 20, 1952, and who died September 30, 2019, and a brother, Edward L. Bochman of New Kensington, PA. The funeral will be held at 11:00 am Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. Pastor Tim Smart of REALiFE Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service on Saturday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Rd. Jamestown, NY 14701.
