Obituary of Jordon Dongarra

Jordon "Joey" Dongarra, 41, of Bradenton, Fla., formerly of Sarasota, Fla., died unexpectedly July 9, 2022 in Florida. He was born March 30, 1981 in Elyria, Ohio and attended Firelands High School in Oberlin, Ohio. Joey was the owner-operator of JD Construction in Bradenton. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and time with family and friends. Surviving is his father, Richard (Fe) Dongarra of Ellenton, FL, and mother, Lori (Todd) Erickson of Bemus Point; sister, Nichole (Dan) Kraus of Tonawanda, NY; and brother, David (Libby) Dongarra of Hamburg, NY. A graveside memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 6th in the Bemus Point Cemetery, led by Pastor Mike Quimby. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home.
