Obituary of Lelah M. Hendrickson

Lelah M. Hendrickson, 73, of 2992 Carpenter-Pringle Road, Ashville, died Tuesday January 24, 2023, in St. Vincent Medical Center, Erie, PA. A native of the area, she was born October 22, 1949, a daughter of the late Gerald Rogers and Helen Sudal. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Anderson Cleaners for 20 years, but dedicated over 30 years of her life to finishing and repairing furniture at Jamestown Sterling. She was a member of the auxiliaries of the American Legion and Vietnam Veterans of America. She will be remembered for gardening, knitting, crocheting, and restoring furniture. She was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs but more than anything she loved gatherings with her tight knit family and her dogs Precious and Sammy. Lelah loved music, dancing and to have a good time. Surviving are three daughters Sheila Walters and Connie (Pete) Marucci both of Jamestown and Julie (Jim) Howard of Panama; three step daughters Terry (John) Long and Sheri Hendrickson both of Jamestown and Brenda (Bob) Lundgren of Frewsburg; 16 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and siblings Gerald Rogers, Jr., Helen Jackman, Audrey Johnson, Carol Sauers and Patricia Crossley. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Alvin Hendrickson, Sr and a brother Alton Rogers. A memorial service will be held at 4 pm Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home where friends will be received for one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the family.
