Obituary of Judith A. Greer

Judith A. "Judy" Drake Greer, 70, of Jamestown, NY, passed away at 3:02 pm Tuesday, January 31, 2023, in her home. A lifelong area resident, she was born November 25, 1952, in Jamestown, NY, a daughter of the late A. Sanford and Marjorie M. Decker Drake. Judy was a 1970 graduate of Southwestern Central School. She was employed for many years as a polisher for Premier Finishing, Inc. and had earlier worked for the former Chautauqua Hardware Corporation. She was an active member of the Chautauqua Lake Fishing Association and the Fenton History Center. Surviving are her four children, Rhonda Talbot of York, PA, Craig (Ashley) Sard of Brandon, FL, Matthew Sard of New Bern, NC, Scott Sard of Vanceboro, NC, eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, her sister, Marilyn Holcomb of Edgewater, FL as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, James A. Sard who died March 4, 2002, and a brother, Duane A. Drake. The funeral will be held at 11 am Monday, February 6, 2023, in the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Stilson Hill Cemetery, Sugar Grove, PA. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service on Monday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Chautauqua Lake Fishing Association, 9 Chadakoin St, Celoron, NY14720.
