Obituary of Elisabeth G. Ostrom

Elisabeth Grace Ostrom, 34, of Jamestown, NY, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, in her home. A Jamestown native, she was born October 4, 1988, in Jamestown, NY. She was the daughter of Robert E. and Linda Ostrom of Jamestown, NY and Leslie Fine of Ft. Myers, FL. Elisabeth graduated from Southwestern Central School in 2006. She attended Edinboro State University and continued her studies at Marymount Manhattan College in New York City, NY. As a child and teenager, Liz was a member of the Zion Covenant Church. She loved the Lord, and her sweet personality won her many friends. Liz fought a courageous battle with alcohol addiction and an eating disorder that controlled her life and eventually led to her death. Her beautiful smile and sweet personality will be forever etched in the hearts of those who knew her. Besides her parents, she is survived by her sisters, Noelle Swanson (Jeremy) of Bemus Point, NY, Melissa Ostrom (Mike) of Holley NY, a brother, Robert Ostrom (Lisa) of New York, NY, her stepbrothers, Erik Eckstrand, Drew Rinaldo (Alissa), Brett Rinaldo (Kali), Troy Rinaldo (Cady), as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and two loving canine buddies, Ivory and Lux. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Dr. Patrick Collins for his loving care and friendship provided throughout Liz's life. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed.
