Obituary of Ann M. Brigiotta

Ann M. Brigiotta, 99, of Jamestown, NY, passed away at 5:05 am Tuesday, February 28, 2023, in UPMC Chautauqua with her daughters by her side. An area resident for most of her life, she was born February 14, 1924, in Erie, PA, a daughter of the late Santo and Lilian DiDomenico. For the past 30 years she has worked in the deli for Brigiotta's Farmland and Produce Store as well as being a licensed real estate agent in Chautauqua County for many years. In earlier years she had worked for the former Nugent's Women's Apparel, Sylvania Company, was a spot welder for Steel Partitions during World War II and the Rockman's Super Duper Store. As one who lost her mother at a young age, she became a very loving and caring wife, mother, and nana to her family. She took wonderful care of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the family dogs. While raising her family, she had been a member the PTA, the Girls Scouts, and the Boy Scouts. She loved bowling and golfing and was a member of several leagues over the years where she made many lifelong friends and was loved by many. In later years she enjoyed her many trips to the casino and loved playing scratch off tickets. She and Sam traveled to California every year to visit her sister. Surviving are her two daughters, Sally Matey of Jamestown, NY, Leah (Dale) Robinson of Attica, NY, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, a sister, Leah Mooney of CA, a sister-in-law, Frances Greco of Jamestown and many loving nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Sam V. "Bumper" Brigiotta, whom she married November 30, 1946, and who died May 8, 2017, two sons, Sam V. Brigiotta, Jr. and Frank S. Brigiotta and three brothers, Salvatore "Casey" DiDomenico, John DiDomenico and Joseph DiDomenico. The funeral will be held at 4 pm Saturday, March 4, 2023, in the Lind Funeral Home. Deacon Michael Lennon of St. James Catholic Church will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received from 1-4 pm Saturday in the funeral home.
