Obituary of Charles J. Fiorella Jr

Charles J. Fiorella Jr., 84, of Jamestown, passed away peacefully April 27, 2023, at UPMC Chautauqua. He was born April 29, 1938, in Jamestown, the eldest son of the late Charles and Lucile Valone Fiorella Sr.. Charles was a 1956 graduate of Jamestown High School. He served 8 years in the U.S. Naval Reserves. Charles worked at various local factories, including Marlin Rockwell, Vendco, Proto Tool, and Chautauqua Hardware. He was also co-owner and operator of K & C Keystone gas station for several years. He was a dedicated member of the local machinist's union. He held numerous leadership positions, including president of I.A.M. Local 1839, as well as Vice President of District Lodge 65. Charles had a lifelong passion for cars, especially his 1957 Ford Ranchero. He entered local car shows to display his vehicles and took home Best in Show awards several times. He also enjoyed going to car auctions and estate sales with his cousin and best friend, Sandy Rizzo. During his retirement, you would often find him sitting on his front porch, as well as enjoying time with his grandchildren. Surviving are his two daughters; Janyce (Jim) Curry of Jamestown and Lisa (John) Holdorf of Edmeston, NY; four grandchildren; Ronald (Katie) Storms, Matthew (Courtney) Storms, Emily Holdorf, and Lindsay Holdorf; three great grandchildren; Haylie Storms, Charlee Storms, Emma Storms; brother; William (Kristie) Fiorella and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen M. (Sears) Fiorella, whom he married July 4, 1959, and who passed away April 16, 2020; and brother, Samuel Fiorella. His family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 2nd from 4 - 7 p.m. at Lind Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 3rd at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Special thanks to the staff at Orchard Grove Senior Living for going above and beyond in the care they provided during the last three months.
