Obituary of Gregory R. Yaw

Gregory R. Yaw, 72, of Busti and Portland, NY, died at his Lake Erie home on Friday, September 29, 2023, of complications of multiple myeloma. Greg was born in Jamestown, October 21, 1950, the son of the late Russell and Dorothea Weninger Yaw. He was a graduate of Jamestown High School, Amherst College, and Washington University of St. Louis School of Law. He practiced law in Jamestown for 40 years, retiring in 2016. Greg was a lifelong swimmer and an avid skier, sailor, cyclist, and kayaker. Greg is survived by his wife Kathleen, son David (Elaine Morgan), daughter Valerie (Adam Hirschberg), sister-in-law Joan Tucker (Charles McClain), and dear cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
