Obituary of James Russell Brown III

James Russell Brown III May 17, 1941 – Nov 7, 2023 Celebrate with Jim's family by raising a glass in silent toast to a good man's peaceful journey home. A Scottish Farewell When I come to the end of the road And the sun has set for me I want no tears in a gloom-filled room Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little but not for long And not with your head bowed low Remember the love that we once shared Miss me but let me go. For this is a journey we all must take And each must go alone It's all a part of the master plan A step on the road home. When you are lonely and sick of heart Go to the friend we know And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds Miss me…but let me go. Jim's life journey began in his mother's loving arms and ended being surrounded by those who he engulfed in his loving arms. In between birth and death, he was a man of many talents. He was a military man from 1958-1962, a railroad worker, road crew worker, refinery worker, fishmonger, furniture maker and artist. His life's greatest accomplishment was being an affectionate, tender, and compassionate husband, father and grandfather. He gave his heart and soul completely to his wife Connie for 49 years in life and for eternity in death. His children Michele, Michael, Amber, Peter, grandchildren Genevieve, Colton, Steven, Elias, and Arin will remember him as a loving man whose life was filled with precious moments, wisdom, laughter, tears, and love for them. There will be no services as you need to remember him with love and smiles, not tears and sorrow. You may leave words of condolence at www.lindfunerahome.com.
