Obituary of Jetta L. Wilson

Jetta L. Wilson, 70, of 14 Rowley Court, died Friday November 10, 2023, surrounded by her family in her home. A native of Jamestown, she was born August 14, 1953, the daughter of the late Charles Lindros and Mary Lou Bailey Bracey. She was a 1971 graduate of Southwestern Central School and attended Grove City College. Prior to her retirement in 2019, she was employed by the Village of Celoron as deputy clerk. In addition, she had worked for Jamestown General Hospital in the personal office until its closing, the City of Jamestown as civil service administrator and sold insurance for Prudential. Jetta was a member of First Presbyterian Church where she served as an elder on Session. She was also a member of Chautauqua County Municipal Clerks Association. Jetta spent her lifetime firmly centered on her faith and her family. She freely gave generously to anyone in need, never expecting anything in return. Humor played a major part in her life on a daily basis. This was best exhibited during family board games. She and Mark never missed a weekly Date Night for over 30 years. She was known for the love and kindness she poured out to all, a legacy that will remain with all who knew her. Surviving is her husband Mark F. Wilson, whom she married October 10, 1998; daughter Amy (Todd) Volf of Las Vegas; stepchildren Kelly (Jeff) Harper of Upper Arlington, OH; Sandy Wilson of Buffalo and Chris (Colleen Moses) Wilson of Dover, DE; grandchildren Emma Capri Volf, Aiden Cash Volf, Wilson Conner Harper, Samuel Freet Harper and Harrison Oliver Latona; stepmother Mary Lee Lindros of Bemus Point and step brothers Peyton (Kim) McVinney and Michael (Debbie) McVinney both of Jamestown. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her stepfather William Bracey. A Celebration of life will be held 11 a.m. December 2, 2023 at First Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends at Lind's from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, December 1. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
