Obituary of Esther A. Lunetta

Esther Lunetta, 95, of Jamestown, left this world to be with her Lord and Savior on December 18, 2023, surrounded by her immediate family. She was born May 18, 1928, in Scranton, PA, the daughter of the late Jacob and Helen Rosachodski Zdanowicz. Esther grew up in Baltimore, MD, but lived in Jamestown for the majority of her adult life after marrying her late husband, Russell. She loved Jamestown and appreciated raising her family here. Esther went back to work after her children were in school. She worked locally and retired from Chautauqua Hardware after many years. She also worked as a classroom aide for Jamestown Public Schools. Prior to moving to Jamestown, Esther worked as a telephone operator in Baltimore City and had very fond memories from that job. Esther enjoyed working in her garden, traveling and being with her family. She Enjoyed numerous Caribbean Island and Mexico vacations and has a collection of souvenirs from all locations that she visited. Esther was a member of The Assembly of God Church in Jamestown where she was able to practice the faith that her mother had instilled in her. Surviving is her daughter Sandra (Andrzej) Kopiczak; her grandchildren, Brooke Stworzdlak and Adam (Elizabeth) Sundholm; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her Husband, Russell Lunetta; daughter, Tina Lunetta; two sisters Mildred Gianzanti and Lillian Halvorsen; two brothers Edward Zdanowicz and William Zdanowicz. The funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, December 23, at the Lind Funeral Home. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 4 to 6 p.m. in the funeral home. Esther's final resting place will be at Sunset Hill Cemetery where she will be reunited with her husband and daughter.
