Obituary of Curtis Ferguson Jr.

Curtis Ferguson, Jr., 83, of 110 W. Third St., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2023 at UPMC Chautauqua. He was born Feb. 8, 1940 in Birmingham, AL, a son of the late Curtis and Josephine Ferguson, Sr. For 39 years he had been employed by Marlin Rockwell / TRW Bearings / SKF Manufacturing. Curtis also belonged to Faith Outreach Center Church in Jamestown. Surviving are three daughters: Virginia Warren and Jane Ferguson, both of Jamestown, and Barbara Ann Nelson of Tulsa, OK; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara Hargvovet King of Birmingham, AL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sally Porter Ferguson, whom he married June 11, 1966 and who died Jan. 5, 1999; a grandson, Isaiah Nelson; and a brother, William Ferguson. The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3rd in the Lind Funeral Home. Pastor Don DeAngelo and Minister Sandy DeAngelo will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday for 2 hours prior to the service in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Faith Outreach Center Church, 105 Chandler St., Jamestown, NY 14701.
