Obituary of Brenda C. Meerdink

Brenda C. Meerdink, 74, of Jamestown, NY passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Tuesday March 5, 2024. Born September 15, 1949 in Jamestown, Brenda was a daughter of the late Wilbur and Carol Olsen, and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1967. Brenda worked for the Jamestown Public Schools where she enjoyed mentoring children for a short period of time prior to embarking on a Real Estate career where she was self-employed as a Real Estate Salesperson for many years until her retirement. Her favorite activities included walking any sandy beach she could find, baking, cooking, and most of all spending time with family. Surviving is her husband, Kenneth Meerdink whom she married July 21, 1979; her sister, Barb Pavlock (Mike) of Jamestown; her three sons, Mark DiVincenzo (Cheryll) and Michael DiVincenzo of Jamestown, and Matthew Meerdink (Bridget) of Cincinnati, OH; two daughters, Kristin Meerdink of Erie, PA and Jodi Pemberton (Chuck) of Homeland, FL. One of her favorite pastimes was spending as much time as she could with her grandchildren, Zoe DiVincenzo, Max DiVincenzo, Tess Berardi (Mark & Cheryll), Jackson, Charlotte, Eleanor and Bennett Meerdink (Matt & Bridget), Caleb, Emelia, Aubreigh, Gabriel and Bryanna (Kristin), and Trey & Josiah Pemberton (Chuck & Jodi). The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 9th in the Fluvanna Community Church, led by Rev. Todd Wentworth. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home, and for ½ hour prior to the service in the church Saturday. Any Donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
